Insurance Prices May Finally Be Cooling Off ☀️ Here’s Why That Matters.

If you’ve opened an insurance renewal in the last few years, you’ve probably felt it. Auto insurance increased. Home insurance increased. Everything seemed to cost more. And for a while, it did. But there may finally be a little good news. Recent industry data is showing signs that insurance rate increases in personal lines are beginning to slow down.

Personal Auto:
2024 → 9.7% average approved increases
2025 → 3.7%

Homeowners:
2024 → 13.5% average approved increases
2025 → 8.3%

Before we celebrate too much, let’s talk about what this actually means. Slowing increases ≠ lower premiums.

This doesn’t mean everyone’s insurance bill is automatically dropping. Insurance pricing still depends on:

Claims history
Property values
Reconstruction costs
Vehicle repair expenses
Weather events
Local market conditions
Coverage choices

But slowing increases CAN create something important:

Opportunity.

Why now may be a smart time to review your insurance When markets stabilize, it’s often one of the better moments to pause and ask:

- Am I still with the right carrier?
- Am I paying for coverage I don’t need?
- Am I missing discounts?
- Has my situation changed?
- Are my deductibles and limits still aligned with my goals?

Too many people assume:

“My insurance went up last year, so I’m stuck.” That’s not always true. Small financial wins create bigger memories A few hundred dollars saved each year may not sound life changing. But sometimes that means:

Taking the trip
Saying yes to more family moments
Investing back into your home
Building breathing room into your budget

At BuildWISE, we believe insurance isn’t just another bill. It’s part of the foundation that protects your assets and supports your long-term goals.

If it’s been a while since you reviewed your auto, home, or personal insurance, this may be a good time to take another look. No pressure. No obligation. Just education and options.
